Broadly, I am currently interested in understanding the mechanisms of speciation and divergence at a genomic level. I would like to explore this across species and populations. I am specifically interested in the role of mating behaviors and sexual selection on the evolution of the genome. The abundant existing genetic information and expression data available for Drosophila, makes this an excellent system for these analyses.
